Versailles Parquet Panels

Versailles Panels or Parquet de Versailles, are named after the famous Palace of Versailles (Château de Versailles) in France, where in 1684 they are introduced for the first time as parquet de menuiserie ("woodwork parquet"). A necessary replacement of the existing marble flooring in the palace was required. The joists beneath the flooring tended to rot, due to the everyday washing. Elegant & Stylish wooden flooring was then introduced to Louis IV and since then a Versailles parquet became a symbol of the royal taste. In the era of The Sun King, this exceptional Parquet design marked the beginning of the classic parquet flooring and became a universal trend in Europe.

Nowadays Versailles panels can be seen in any property with traditional or modern interior. This type of parquet flooring continues to be a synonym of a Luxury and Excellence.
