Project Description

Repair of water damaged section of the flooring in hallway, following by renovation of the flooring throughout Living room and Hall. Preparation work includes removing and disposing of the water damaged section of the flooring. Removing of the adhesive residue and make good the base. Application of suitable primer onto the base in order to block any residual moisture and improve the bond with the new flooring. Supply and installation of new, matching size 18/130mm, solid oak boards. The flooring to be fully bonded onto the base. The new flooring is fitted underneath the existing skirting (skirting to remain in place). After the repair work is complete the entire flooring area in Living room and corridor is sanded back to bare wood. Following by polishing of the flooring with buffing machine in order to achieve smooth finish. Application of three coats of clear, commercial grade, heavy duty, lacquer for protection.
