Project Description

Installation on of reclaimed herringbone parquet flooring in one room, extending the existing parquet flooring. Supply and application of paintable epoxy resin damp proof membrane to the concrete subfloor, in order to improve the bond with the new parquet flooring. To supply and fit reclaimed oak parquet flooring. The wood blocks to be laid in herringbone pattern with double block border around the perimeter of the area, following the original pattern. After the installation is complete the entire flooring area to be sanded back to bare wood. To gap fill any open gaps, using mix of resin and sawdust. Polishing of the flooring with buffing machine in order to achieve smooth finish. To apply one coat of standard stain (samples to be applied onsite during the works for client’s approval). To apply 3 coats of a clear, water based lacquer for protection.

As an example, your specialists were helpful in dealing with  our old carpets. When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring. Two, sometimes, three very helpful specialists from your firm - or associated with  you - worked energetically to sort out the problem and  implement the client’ s (i.e. our) wishes and preferences.
