Project Description

Installation of new flooring in two bedrooms, as well as renovation of the existing flooring in open plan Living room/Kitchen area and hallway. Preparation work to include removing and disposing of the existing carpet, carpet grippers and underlay. Supply and installation of engineered oak flooring 15mm total thickness, 190mm wide, rustic grade, Brushed & Oiled finish. The flooring to be installed as a floated floor onto standard underlay. To supply and install dark stained oak beading around the edges to cover the expansion gap. Undercutting of two doors, doorframes and architraves, where required in order to accommodate the new flooring. To supply and fit dark stained oak thresholds and trims where required. After the installation of the new flooring is complete, to sand down to bare wood all existing engineered walnut flooring in open plan, living room/kitchen and hallway. To polish the flooring with buffing machine in order to achieve smooth finish. Following by application of three coats of clear, water-based lacquer for protection.

As an example, your specialists were helpful in dealing with  our old carpets. When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring.
