Project Description

Installation of engineered flooring in three bedrooms and living room. Preparation work to include removing and disposing of the existing carpet, carpet grippers and underlay. To undercut 5 doors, door frames and architraves, in order to accommodate the new flooring. Supply and lay 15mm thick, acoustic insulation mat, on the first floor, noise reduction, up to 43dB, instead. To supply and lay 3.6mm thick, moisture and sound proof underlay on the second floor, noise reduction up to 23dB. To supply and install engineered oak flooring, 15mm total thickness, 190mm wide, lengths up to 1900mm, Rustic Grade, “Witmore”. The flooring to be laid as a floated floor onto the underlay. After the installation is complete, to supply and fit white, pre-primed, quadrant beading around the edges to cover the expansion gap. The beading will require painting with the skirting after installation, not included in this quote.

As an example, your specialists were helpful in dealing with  our old carpets. When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring.
