Project Description

Luxury Wood Flooring fully updated two bedrooms with a modern, low-maintenance flooring solution. The project involved removing existing soft flooring, installing a floated engineered oak floor in a sophisticated “Oak Grey” finish, and adding pine quadrant beading to cover expansion gaps. A key feature of the work was the remodelling and cladding of three staircase steps, including converting an existing curved square landing into a rectangular shape. Doorframes were undercut, and matching solid oak thresholds were supplied and fitted to create seamless transitions between rooms.

The result is a clean, contemporary finish that combines the warmth of engineered wood with practical floating floor installation and bespoke stair detailing.

Removal & disposal of existing carpet, carpet grippers, and underlay from two bedrooms.
Supply & installation of engineered oak flooring – Stability Range, “Oak Grey” finish. Installation method: Floated floor onto standard underlay.
Supply & fitting of pine quadrant beading around all perimeter edges to cover the expansion gap. Beading left ready for painting alongside existing skirting (painting not included in this quote).
Stair cladding – three steps in total. Cladding of treads using engineered oak. Supply & fitting of matching finish stair nosings. Existing curved square step/landing made into a rectangular shape to suit the new flooring layout.
Undercutting of doors, door frames, and architraves where required to accommodate the new flooring thickness.

As an example, your specialists were helpful in dealing with  our old carpets. When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring. Two, sometimes, three very helpful specialists from your firm - or associated with  you - worked energetically to sort out the problem and  implement the client’ s (i.e. our) wishes and preferences.
