Project Description

Engineered Flooring Installation in Dining room, Kitchen & Hallway including cupboard. Preparation work to include carefully removing of the remaining wood flooring from underneath the kitchen units & side panels. Where not possible the flooring to be removed to be cut off as close as practically possible to the panels. To apply liquid epoxy resin primer onto the concrete section. To level the base at the concrete section, using self levelling compound. At the pine boards section, to level the base, using 9 or 12mm plywood To supply standard underlay. To supply and install the engineered planks “Queenstown“. The flooring to be installed as a floated floor onto the underlay. Carefully removing of the existing skirting and re-fit it back on after the flooring work is complete, to cover the expansion gap. To undercut four doors doorframes and architraves, in order to accommodate the new flooring. To install matching finish thresholds where required.

When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring.
