Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I want to compliment you on your firm’s recent service for us.
As an example, your specialists were helpful in dealing with our old carpets. When the old carpet along the corridor was removed, though the floor was concrete, there were a lot of old materials and also wires to be removed and a thorough preparation had to be done before laying the parquet flooring. Two, sometimes, three very helpful specialists from your firm - or associated with you - worked energetically to sort out the problem and implement the client’ s (i.e. our) wishes and preferences. Their guidance as regards the maintenance of the wood flooring was very helpful.

We are satisfied with the result and we will be pleased to recommend Luxury Wood Flooring to potential clients.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Luxury Wood Flooring were our Christmas saviors! Our previous contractor failed to sand and varnish our floors properly, leaving us in a tough spot just before the holidays. We needed someone to redo everything and finish by Christmas. Steven and his team did an amazing job restoring our wooden floors, completing the work on time, and leaving the premises spotless. We’re really pleased with the results and their professional approach.

Premium Supply and Sub-Floor Preparation

A beautiful floor starts with the right sub-floor. As Experienced Wood Flooring Professionals, we understand the specific moisture and level requirements for real wood. It is important indeed to achieve the right conditions of the base, as well as environment, which will guarantee perfect wood flooring installation

Preparation Services

Sub Floor Preparation

- The sub-floor is the foundation of your new investment, and we ensure it is perfectly stable, flat, and ready to receive your chosen timber. This process often includes professional levelling, screeding, or installing Durable plywood to eliminate imperfections that could affect the final floor.
Sound Proofing

- In multi-story homes or apartments in Hampstead Heath, sound reduction is a crucial consideration for comfort and compliance. We install high-performance acoustic matting and specialised underlays beneath the wood floor, effectively dampening impact noise and reducing sound transfer between floors. More robust approach is to fit sound insulation between joist, following by high performance noise reduction floor panels.
Damp Proofing

- Essential for all ground-floor, lower ground floors & basement installations, specifically for those built on concrete slabs. This is important, as damp proofing prevents moisture migration that could seriously damage the timber over time. Our team applies professional-grade membranes and liquid damp-proof barriers, safeguarding your wood floor from sub-floor moisture issues common in the Hampstead Heath area.

Do you know that...

The heath first entered the history books in 986 when Ethelred the Unready granted one of his servants five hides of land at "Hemstede". This same land is later recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 as held by the monastery of St. Peter's at Westminster Abbey, and by then is known as the "Manor of Hampstead". Westminster held the land until 1133 when control of part of the manor was released to one Richard de Balta; then during Henry II's reign the whole of the manor became privately owned by Alexander de Barentyn, the King's butler. Manorial rights to the land remained in private hands until the 1940s when they lapsed under Sir Spencer Pocklington Maryon Wilson,[citation needed] though the estate itself was passed on to Shane Gough, 5th Viscount Gough. Over time, plots of land in the manor were sold off for building, particularly in the early 19th century, though the heath remained mainly common land. The main part of the heath was acquired for the people by the Metropolitan Board of Works. Parliament Hill was purchased for the public for £300,000 and added to the park in 1888. Golders Hill was added in 1898 and Kenwood House and grounds were added in 1928.
